If disabled in Company Settings, the Salary tab will not appear.
To assign the employee’s Status:
- From the main menu, click Manage Employees, then click Employee Data.
- Click the Salary tab.
- From the employee dropdown list on the toolbar, click the down arrow and select the user you wish to edit or click Search on the toolbar.
- From the Status dropdown list, click the down arrow and make your selection. Options are Part-Time, Full-Time, Contractor, or Temporary.
- Click Save on the toolbar.
To assign the employee’s Pay Basis:
- From the main menu, click Manage Employees, then click Employee Data.
- Click the Salary tab.
- From the employee dropdown list on the toolbar, click the down arrow and select the user you wish to edit or click Search on the toolbar.
- From the Pay Basis dropdown list, click the down arrow and make your selection. Options are Hourly, Salary, Commission, or Not Available.
- Click Save on the toolbar.
To assign the Pay Frequency:
- From the main menu, click Manage Employees, then click Employee Data.
- Click the Salary tab.
- From the employee dropdown list on the toolbar, click the down arrow and select the user you wish to edit or click Search on the toolbar.
- From the Pay Frequency dropdown list, click the down arrow and make your selection. Options are Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Semi-Monthly, or Monthly.
- Click Save on the toolbar.
To enter the employee’s Pay Amount:
- From the main menu, click Manage Employees, then click Employee Data.
- Click the Salary tab.
- From the employee dropdown list on the toolbar, click the down arrow and select the user you wish to edit or click Search on the toolbar.
- Type the employee’s rate of pay in the Pay Amount field.
- The pay amount must be entered in the #.## or .## format (e.g., 2.54 or 10.00). Do not include dollar signs or commas. The pay amount may reflect the employee’s hourly or salary income as specified in the Pay Basis field, or may reflect the amount paid per time period as based on the Pay Frequency field.
To enter the amount of the employee’s last pay change:
- From the main menu, click Manage Employees, then click Employee Data.
- Click the Salary tab.
- From the employee dropdown list on the toolbar, click the down arrow and select the user you wish to edit or click Search on the toolbar.
- Insert your cursor in the Change Amount field and type in the appropriate dollar amount in the proper format. Do not include the dollar sign or commas.
- If the number in the Change Amount field is a percentage, click in the Percentage box.
- Click Save on the toolbar.
To enter the date of the employee’s last pay change:
- From the main menu, click Manage Employees, then click Employee Data.
- Click the Salary tab.
- From the employee dropdown list on the toolbar, click the down arrow and select the user you wish to edit or click Search on the toolbar.
- Insert your cursor in the Last Change field and type in the appropriate date in month/day/ four-digit year format, or click on the calendar icon and select the correct date. For example, you would enter April 2, 2013 as 04-02-2013.
- Click Save on the toolbar.
