Appraisals

To access Performance History as an Appraiser:

  1. In the Logged In As box, make sure your Role is set to Appraiser (Administrative Users can be in the Administrative Role.)
  2. From the main menu, under Employee Documents, click Performance History.
  3. From the employee dropdown list on the toolbar, click the down arrow and select the user you wish to view or click Search on the toolbar.
  4. Current and historical appraisals are listed on the Appraisal Forms tab. Forms relating to the employee are listed on the Forms tab. Notes are listed on the Notes tab. External files relating to the employee that have been uploaded to Performance Pro are listed on the Additional Documents tab.
  5. Select the documents you wish to view.

To view or print a current or historical appraisal:

  1. From the main menu, under Employee Documents, click Performance History.
  2. From the employee dropdown list on the toolbar, click the down arrow and select the user you wish to view or click Search on the toolbar.
  3. Appraisals are listed in chronological order, newest to oldest. The Status field will display Current if it is the current appraisal, or History if it is an historical appraisal that has been completed. The employee’s final score for each historical appraisal is found to the right of the appraisal dates in the Score field. Routed appraisals (if the routing feature is activated) are denoted with an asterisk*.
  4. From the list of appraisals, click on the one you wish to view or print.
  5. The appraisal will open in the format that was selected as the default on the Company Settings screen. (Full if nothing has been selected.)
  6. To select a different format to view or print the appraisal from, click the format option button you desire (Simple, Snapshot, Full, Multi-Appraiser). A button will not display for the format you are currently viewing.  The Simple and Full appraisal formats provide more in-depth infor­mation than the Snapshot.
  7. Click the Employee Info. button if you want to hide the employee information section (name, hire date, position, department, etc.)
  8. If the Downline feature is activated and you wish to view a report detailing edits that have been made to the appraisal by an Administrative User or managers who are NOT the primary appraiser, click the Down­line History button.
  9. While viewing the appraisal, click the E-Signature button if you would like to jump to the bottom of the appraisal, to the signature area.
  10. The appraisal may be printed by clicking the Print button. A new window opens. Print the document using your browser print function. If you would rather view and print the document from a .pdf format, click the PDF button and print through your PDF reader software.

To delete historical (completed) appraisals (Adminis­trative Users only):

  1. From the main menu, under Employee Documents, click Performance History.
  2. From the employee dropdown list on the toolbar, click the down arrow and select the user you wish to view or click Search on the toolbar.
  3. On the Appraisal Form tab, appraisals are listed in chronological order, newest to oldest. From the list of appraisals, click on the one you wish to delete.
  4. Delete the appraisal by clicking the Delete Appraisal button found at the top of the appraisal. Remember that this permanently deletes an appraisal from the system!!
  5. Click OK when asked if you want to delete the appraisal.
  6. Select Cancel to cancel the deletion.

Note:

Only the Adminis­trative User may edit or delete historical (completed) appraisals. Appraisers may view but not edit or delete historical appraisals.  

To edit historical (completed) appraisals (Administrative Users only):

  1. From the main menu, under Employee Documents, click Performance History.
  2. From the employee dropdown list on the toolbar, click the down arrow and select the user you wish to view or click Search on the toolbar.
  3. On the Appraisal Form tab, appraisals are listed in chronological order, newest to oldest. From the list of appraisals, click on the one you wish to edit.
  4. Click the Edit button found at the top of the appraisal. This will open the Finish Appraisal Complete tab for the appraisal.
  5. Appraisal dates and overall weights can be edited on this screen. After edits are made, click the Update button to save the changes.
  6. To edit appraiser ratings and comments, from the main menu, click on Evaluate Factors, Evaluate Goals, or Summary Comments and make your edits.

Note:

Changing anything on the appraisal other than the Period Start Date and Period End Date will result in e-signatures being removed and the appraisal will need to be signed again. If you are not using e-signatures, it is recommended that you print the appraisal and have all parties sign again.

Note:

Administrative Users can only edit the ratings and comments of a Primary Appraiser. They are not able to make any edits to ratings or comments of the employee or any multi-appraisers.
